Rivals Unite for Recovery

Alabama Power is pleased to be the title sponsor of Rivals Unite for Recovery weekend. We invite all Alabamians to come show support for your favorite team, but more importantly for the families and communities still recovering and rebuilding from the devastating April tornadoes. Proceeds generated from the weekend’s Alumni Day Flag Football Game and the charity golf pro-am will be collected by the HEARTinDIXIE Foundation, which will in turn donate the funds to the Governor’s Emergency Relief Fund.

The pro-am tees off with the benefit and pairings party on Sunday evening, August 14. Participants will venture forth to Greystone Country Club on Monday, August 15 for an 18-hole round paired with former Alabama and Auburn football players, as well as (PGA) professional golfers and celebrity athletes. Current PGA TOUR players participating include Jerry Pate, Leonard Thompson, Steve Lowery, Michael Thompson and Boo Weekley. Birmingham’s Hubert Green is the Honorary Host.
